LED Obstruction Lights for Aviation Safety

Pfannenberg currently offers ICAO approved LED hazard beacons for wind turbines, cell towers, TV transmission antennas, chimneys, smokestacks, and other tall structures. Efforts are currently underway to achieve FAA certification in order to satisfy similar requirements in the United States and North America. FAA Type L-810

  • 32 cd steady red light

FAA Type L-864

  • 2,000 cd flashing red light 
  • 20 to 40 flashes per minute

FAA Type L-865

  • 20,000 cd flashing white light (daytime)
  • 2,000 cd flashing white light (nighttime)
  • 40 flashes per minute

Combined FAA Types L-864 and L-865

  • 20,000 cd flashing white light (daytime)
  • 2,000 cd flashing red light (nighttime)
