Industrial Alarm/Signaling Product Manager (United States / Canada / Mexico)

Pfannenberg is in search of a product manager who has experience working with end-users, influencers and key distribution partners to promote and grow its signaling/alarm product line primarily in the US, but also Canada and Mexico.

  • Management of signaling/alarm product line in the United States, Canada and Mexico
  • Create and implement a sales plan to support our signaling sales strategy 
  • Competitive analysis and benchmarking to support sales strategies for all new products and existing products. This includes market requirements and trends to develop a local product roadmap. 
  • Identify and support all relevant sales channels 
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers at customer site         
  • Product promotion support including trade shows, product literature development, sales documentation, presentations and product distribution 
  • Responsible for coordination with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Engineering and factory to implement sales plan. 
  • Train and support Pfannenberg Area Sales Managers about selling strategies, products and applications. 
  • Train and support Pfannenberg Reps and Distributors about selling strategies, products and applications. 
  • Identify and setup new electrical distributors 
  • Responsible for product promotion support including trade shows, product literature development and product distribution 
  • Responsible for support of customer projects, quotations and sales presentations. This requires a complete understanding of product specification, pricing and availability. 
  • Continuous review, reporting and forecasting of market and sales figures 
  • Create and use project / customer reference list, success stories, business cases to understand customer applications and service. Use this data to identify similar customers, multiplying the success. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years' experience selling or supporting industrial products
  • Industrial sales experience through distribution to end users is preferred
  • Automation Industry and Control System knowledge preferred
  • Previous sales and product management responsibilities
  • Strong customer service, relationship management and the ability to collaborate with a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM also preferred
  • Proven leadership skills to effectively manage and communicate with sales teams across the region
  • Travel is required throughout the US on a regular basis to meet with customers, train sales teams and meet with sales partners. Limited travel to Canada and Mexico may also be needed. Must also be able to travel once per year internationally for training. 
  • Position does not require relocation. Candidate can work remotely from home office.


Technical Customer Care Specialist

Pfannenberg, a local manufacturing company, has a great opportunity for an individual with technical aptitude, strong computer aptitude, great organizational skills, excellent customer service skills and comfortable working in a fast paced environment to immediately join our team as a Technical Customer Care Specialist.

Job duties include qualifying inbound phone calls, logging calls into CRM software and quickly routing those calls to the correct department. Additional responsibilities include assisting with basic technical questions about our products and applications, assisting customer service with order processing, making outbound customer service calls and running reports from our CRM system to support our Sales team.  If you are motivated to learn new technologies, have all the above skills and are not afraid to engage with customers on the phone, you may be the perfect candidate for the position.  Previous inbound phone experience in a fast paced environment is helpful.  Recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Quality Manager

Pfannenberg is in search of Quality Manager who has a proven track record of successfully working with dynamic teams in the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems.   Reports to Senior Management.
Requires a Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of departmental leadership. 


  • Conduct department reviews to develop employees and identify needs.
  • Report KPI metrics at a global and local level to Senior Management.
  • Ability to collaborate globally with QM organization to improve QM system.
  • Training on QM system and driving Quality Awareness Company wide.
  • Management of internal error system to generate corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  • Lead role managing customer failure at a local and international level.
  • Review of project development guidelines ensuring products meet conformity to certifications. part of the Development Team
  • Support Procurement by leading corrective action teams in case of critical complaints from customer to suppliers including the internal organization
  • Respond to customers need in case of complaints in the correct way, for example 8D reporting
  • Experience establishing Quality contracts with suppliers & customers to establish company standards
  • Understanding of ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14001 standards and proven track record driving change in the organization. 
  • Management of Quality manual and supporting processes reporting corrective actions to senior management during quarterly reviews.
  • Conduct customer and supplier audits based on KPI metrics and report to management and departments
  • Manage product & process audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of industry governmental regulations and management of internal and external compliance.
  • Knowledge of international standards (UL/CSA/CE) and overseeing Compliance Company wide.

Intercompany Supply Chain Planner

Primary responsibility is to plan, purchase, and import raw material from other Pfannenberg factories and also handle customer service/order fulfillment from our Lancaster NY factory to other Pfannenberg sales companies globally. 

Responsibilities: The applicant will be responsible to set inventory parameters, monitor inventory consumption & turns, and coordinate orders between the local factory and sales companies to meet customer expectations. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, inventory planning, preparing import & export documentation, and customer service.  We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and relationship builder who enjoys working with others to achieve common goals.  Understanding of ERP systems, attention to detail, and a strong customer focus are critical for this role.  The position is full time.

Application/Sales Engineer

Understands the needs of our customers and their applications to provide the best solution available. Duties will include product selection, application recommendations and troubleshooting. The applicant will deal directly with customers to provide technical assistance, resolve minor issues or direct the customer to our Service Department. The ideal candidate will have strong written/verbal communication skills, an engineering or technical background and good people skills. Knowledge of thermal dynamics and/or refrigeration a plus but not required. Recent graduates welcome.

We are looking for a full-time Customer Care Specialist for our Service Department.  Responsibilities include: Sales Order Entry and administering prompt, efficient customer service. Must be an enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, strong phone skills, experience working in a team environment and competent with Word, Excel, Outlook.

Multi-faceted ability to pick, pack and pull material for fast passed shipping, receiving and production warehouse.  Must be customer focused with a sense of urgency, good follow through, follow up and prioritization skills. We are looking for an Assembler for our Production Department.  Responsible for the building of air conditioner units and air to water heat exchangers.  This involves:  Metal fabrication, using wiring schematics to assembly electrical boxes/wiring unit, brazing and soldering copper pipes, general assembly techniques, ability to use power tools, lifting up to 50lbs, twisting, bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time, able to work overtime and Saturdays and the ability to work within a team.
