Industrial Alarm/Signaling Product Manager (United States / Canada / Mexico)

Pfannenbergs is in search of a product manager who has experience working with end-users, influencers and key distribution partners to promote and grow its signaling/alarm product line primarily in the US, but also Canada and Mexico.

  • Management of signaling/alarm product line in the United States, Canada and Mexico
  • Create and implement a sales plan to support our signaling sales strategy 
  • Competitive analysis and benchmarking to support sales strategies for all new products and existing products. This includes market requirements and trends to develop a local product roadmap. 
  • Identify and support all relevant sales channels 
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers at customer site         
  • Product promotion support including trade shows, product literature development, sales documentation, presentations and product distribution 
  • Responsible for coordination with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Engineering and factory to implement sales plan. 
  • Train and support Pfannenberg Area Sales Managers about selling strategies, products and applications. 
  • Train and support Pfannenberg Reps and Distributors about selling strategies, products and applications. 
  • Identify and setup new electrical distributors 
  • Responsible for product promotion support including trade shows, product literature development and product distribution 
  • Responsible for support of customer projects, quotations and sales presentations. This requires a complete understanding of product specification, pricing and availability. 
  • Continuous review, reporting and forecasting of market and sales figures 
  • Create and use project / customer reference list, success stories, business cases to understand customer applications and service. Use this data to identify similar customers, multiplying the success. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years' experience selling or supporting industrial products
  • Industrial sales experience through distribution to end users is preferred
  • Automation Industry and Control System knowledge preferred
  • Previous sales and product management responsibilities
  • Strong customer service, relationship management and the ability to collaborate with a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM also preferred
  • Proven leadership skills to effectively manage and communicate with sales teams across the region
  • Travel is required throughout the US on a regular basis to meet with customers, train sales teams and meet with sales partners. Limited travel to Canada and Mexico may also be needed. Must also be able to travel once per year internationally for training. 
  • Position does not require relocation. Candidate can work remotely from home office.

Purchasing Leader

Responsible for locating and maintaining the best materials, supplies, or services at the best value. Aims to achieve annual cost reduction goals while improving the quality of the materials as well as creating a stronger supply chain. Proven analytical abilities to assess supplier performance and true total cost of ownership are required.  

Good interpersonal and negotiation skills with a track record of building effective long term strategic partnerships with local and global suppliers desired. Must be able to collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning departments. Strategic Thinking a must.

Experience purchasing fabricated metal, electronics, compressors, and heat exchangers is preferred but not necessary. Experience managing various areas of supply chain.

Material Handler

Multi-faceted ability to pick, pack and pull material for fast passed shipping, receiving and production warehouse.  Must be customer focused with a sense of urgency, good follow through, follow up and prioritization skills. Must be computer literate. Fork lift certification, prior warehouse experience and scanner use a plus.
